Trailer with a History
Reclaimed Body from a '66 Overlander
10' Gull Wing Door
All-New Custom Reinforced Frame

Project Overview

When our clients came to us with a plan for the newest edition to their tailgating fleet, we knew we had a fun job ahead of us! This build was to be the Queen of their herd, with all the amenities one could desire for their tailgating or eventing needs, wrapped in the sweet, vintage skin of a custom-restored Airstream!

Rolling up our sleeves, we got straight to work with tearing down the original Overlander - this required a full exterior skin breakdown, during which we found a handwritten note from one of the trailers original owners - in the letter, the author described wishing that whomever should end up with the trailer, that they attend to her needs, and make sure to enjoy her. We love finding these touching personal notes, and took her wishes to heart!

A new custom frame, built from the ground up was first on the list: this included heavy duty reinforcement at all points in order to support the added weight of the extensive fresh, grey, and black water tanks. New wheel wells, axles, and all the extras were added. Once that solid foundation was built we moved into custom shaping the exterior skin piece by piece, cut and fit from the original Overlander. All pieces of the exterior except for the gull wing door were part of the original skin! Many of the windows were deleted from the original floor-plan, and we moved into building out the bathroom, and front endcap media center and display case that housed a 32" and 42" inch TV. It also housed all the audio/visual components and satellite inputs to ensure a flawless transmission of all the angles and commentary or music you could desire! The gull-wing door was installed, as well as the roadside wall which housed a 60" TV, and the bar for serving up your favorite game-day beverages. The bathroom was built out as well which housed a simple toilet/vanity setup for comfort and convenience. Lastly, the exterior removable bar was fit.

After all the paint dried and the finishing touches were complete, we turned her over to start her new life, bringing joy and smiles to thousands and traveling all over the Eastern Seaboard!
